(66% cabernet sauvignon and 36% cabernet franc): Bright, medium ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, black cherry, minerals, smoke and licorice are lifted by a violet topnote. Densely packed, ripe and seamless, with lovely depth and complexity to its claret-like flavors of currant, minerals and tobacco leaf. Really spreads out to saturate the palate on the long back end, which features building tannins and persistent sweetness of fruit.
